I don’t know how best to describe these two people. I first met Musa and Michelle when we met for their engagement shoot one cloudy October Day at Calton Hill, Edinburgh. Musa is kind and unassuming, and Michelle is just so relaxed and fun! Definitely my kind of couple!
Their wedding day at Orocco Pier was actually a perfect reflection of that. This was my first wedding of 2018, captured on a freezing Scottish, Saturday afternoon in January. The day started with bridal preparations at Michelle’s home, with the girls enjoying a few glasses (*cough* bottles) of prosecco and then it was off to the lovely Orocco Pier in South Queensferry for the big event! Michelle showed no signs of nerves, whilst Musa waited patiently for his beautiful bride to arrive.
The fabulous Lesley Anderson conducted the Humanist Ceremony, which was a lovely, emotional affair enjoyed by their closest friends and family. With some warm winter light, I then captured their first moments as husband and wife as we braved the ice and enjoyed a walk along the pier, before the fun continued with the evening reception.
As a wedding photographer, I have the privilege of meeting so many wonderful couples. I learn their story, meet their family and get to share their most special day with them. It really is such a wonderful gift. As we approach the warmer months, I'm going to update my blog with some beautiful weddings from 2017.
I first met David, Clare and their little girl over a coffee in Glasgow where I found out all about their plans for the big day at the gorgeous Dalmeny Park Country House. With its beautiful secret garden, it really is a perfect setting for a wedding.
On the day, the ceremony was scheduled to take place outdoors, but typically, Glasgow’s famous dodgy weather prevailed and the rain moved things indoors. As a wedding photographer, I love to work with natural light wherever possible, and particularly during the key moments such as the ceremony (no one wants a distracting flash popping off all the time!). Dalmeny Park complemented my shooting style and with some beautiful warm light pouring in from the wall of glass overlooking the lush gardens, it was still possible to capture what turned out to be an absolutely perfect ceremony.
It was such a fantastic pleasure to photograph David and Clare’s wedding at Dalmeny Park in Glasgow. Here’s how it went…

During these sessions, I provide up to 2 hours of natural and documentary coverage, capturing REAL memories and REAL emotions, for you to cherish forever. They can take place in the comfort of your home, in your favourite park, or on a beautiful woodland walk - the choice is yours.
This is perfect gift for mum. Give her the gift of moments with her children, documented forever in print and presented in a beautiful wooden gift box. It was a beautiful morning for Candance and Fei's engagement session when I joined them for a relaxed walk along the loch side at Ardgarten.
Surrounded by shades of green and gold, we started with a relaxing and fun walk along one of the main trails. Situated in such stunning surroundings, and with a lightly overcast sky, we were bathed in natural colour. The stylish Candance and Fei were a joy to be around, totally at ease with each other and we captured so many natural smiles, laughs and cuddles as they embraced the session.
